The technology of graded concrete provides an innovative method to adapt the inner structure of a concrete component in order to meet defined static and structural-physical requirements. The present paper provides an in-depth consideration of the interface between design and manufacturing. The design
process is linked to the constraints imposed by the manufacturing process. Taking these constraints into account facilitates the realization of a manufactured component based on a blueprint.
