European Research Community on Flow, Turbulence and Combustion Database. This classic collection of test cases for validation of turbulence models started as an EU / ERCOFTAC project led by Pr. W. Rodi in 1995. It is maintained by Dr. T. Craft at Manchester since 1999. Initialy limited to experimental data, computational results, and results and conclusions drawn from the ERCOFTAC Workshops on Refined Turbulence Modelling (SIG15).
Calcyte is (will be) a toolkit for managing metadata for collections of content
via automatically generated spreadsheets and for creating static HTML repositories.
Calcyte targets the Draft DataCrate Packaging format v0.2.
At this stage Calcyte does not Bag content, it jsut creates Working DataCrates.
FAIR-IMPACT identifies practices, policies, tools and technical specifications to guide researchers, repository managers, research performing organisations, policy makers and citizen scientists towards a FAIR data management cycle. The focus is on persistent identifiers (PIDs), metadata, ontologies, metrics, certification and interoperability, starting with real-life use cases on social sciences and humanities, the photon and neutron sciences, life sciences and agri-food and environmental sciences.
"Open-source Dropbox" with added description features. It is a data storage and description platform designed to help researchers and other users to describe their data files, built on Linked Open Data and ontologies. Users can use Dendro to publish data to CKAN, Zenodo, DSpace or EUDAT's B2Share and others. - feup-infolab/dendro
Ask biological questions, get computational answers, choose the right tool to analyze your data. OMICtools bridges the gap between life science and computational biology.
Globus is a sustainable, non-profit business within the University of Chicago. Our low-cost subscriptions fund the ongoing development of Globus to ensure researchers can continue to rely on the critical software and services we provide.
Globus was originally developed in 1997 to enable grid computing with the approach that, by connecting computing resources, the data can be freed from its initial source and made portable—even if it's huge. The Globus project has grown much since its initial beginnings based on the research of Ian Foster, Carl Kesselman, and Steve Tuecke, but we’ve stayed true to our roots in scientific research and today, services from Globus are used by tens of thousands of researchers at many hundreds of universities, laboratories, and computing facilities around the world.
The Globus mission is to help researchers focus on their research rather than on IT issues, by providing users (as well as administrators of computing facilities and labs) powerful tools built for solving the problems of data-intensive research. Our software and services enable virtual organizations to collaborate across organizational boundaries. We are at the forefront of conversations about research data management, campus bridging, data planning, and models for creating sustainable software.
Globus products and services are developed and operated by the University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory, supported by funding from the Department of Energy, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health—as well as the generosity of our subscribers.
