Zusammenfassung

Modern simulation methods are increasingly applied in all areas of research and development in production engineering. Moreover, the application area can be extended by the combination of different simulation tools e.g. FEM (Finite Element Method) with CACE (Computer Aided Control Engineering). The dynamic behaviour of machine tools depends not only on their distribution of mass, damping and stiffness, but also on their applied control mechanisms. The following article presents a method for simulating the influence of the actual control system on the structural dynamics in real-time by using Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation.
