Zusammenfassung

The radical cations of I, II and cis- and trans-III were generated via 1-electron oxidn. using AlCl3 in CH2Cl2. ESR spectra can be assigned via HMO models and confirm extensive spin delocalization as well as restricted conformational flexibility. A dihedral angle of $\sim$125° is estd. for I radical cation.
