Abstract

Lightweight design of production machines results in a problematically highinclination of vibration. Existing control techniques can avoid thosevibrations based on the knowledge of the instantaneous system behavior, whichis highly non-linear and dependent on the machine’s pose. One possibility isto calculate the machine behavior using a model of the machine on the controldevice. By this additional and expensive sensors in the machine structure areavoided, but it requires a fast and efficient algorithm of model-based systembehavior identification calculated online on the control device. In this paperwe describe a new approach for model-based system behavior calculation on thecontrol device for the vibration reduction. Emphasizes lies on the integrationof the method into the engineering process, which is shown in the fact thatstandard models out of the engineering process are used. The approaches andbenefits of the technique are shown on a 2-axes machine structure.
