Zusammenfassung

The goal of this thesis is to determine a mathematical description of the torque of an ideal six-phase permanent magnet excited synchronous machine, which is with distributed winding, and to develop a methodology for the rough design of this machine. For the torque, the average torque and the torque ripple are considered as the criteria. Firstly, two possible winding topologies are decided for a six-phase machine. Thereafter, analytical description of the torque from the electromagnetic force and windingfunction is determined. The FEM validates the mathematical description as correct. After validation, the influence of the pitch factor and distribution factor on the torque with analytical description is examined. In addition, a methodology is built to roughly design a six-phase PMSM. As an example, a requested machine is constructed using this methodology and its geometry roughly optimized.
