This paper presents a new tool forthe Ansys-Classic environment designed to provide an easy configuration andadministration of complex FE models. This tool provides an Ansys user with asuitable alternative to modern CAD software:• separate modelling of each individual component• component assembling at arbitrarily (user-)defined positions, relative toone another• replacement of single components without changing the remaining components• automatic cloning of components• repeated integration of the same componentAdditionally the new Tool offers functions for FE specific problems:• mesh independence between the components to be coupled • automatic replacement of components with superelements (substructuring)The new implemented functionalities can help to drastically increase theefficiency of the generation and administration of complex FE models.Furthermore, disjoined generation of components is able to prevent theoccurrence of usual parameter errors.
