Abstract

Mass reduction and saving of resources due to an application of new high-tech material com-bined with a focus on the design for recyclability of structural elements requires the develop-ment of new construction methods. This paper presents exemplarily first steps in the development of a construction method by point connections for thin walled, prefabricated, geometrically flexible and architecturally pleasant elements made of ultra-high-performance fiber reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) by the use of implants. General design issues of the implant construction, aspects on the design for assembly, disassembly and recyclability and first experimental results are presented that illustrate the enormous potential of this new construction method.
