(NEt4)MVI(S)ReI3(CO)9(m3-S)4 (M = Mo, W) were prepd. and found to contain 3 6-coordinate tricarbonylrhenium(I) fragments, held together by 1 m3-sulfide ion and by 1 reducible and charge transfer-active m3-MVIS42- unit. Crystal data are reported in space group P21/n for the isomorphic complex salts. UV-visible spectra including metal-metal charge transfer is discussed. on SciFinder(R)
