Especially the increase of patient multimorbidity leads to a growing necessity of future healthcare solutions. In terms of medication management, a lack of reliable pill intake support for the elderly can be observed. This research project develops an approach for a fully automated pill management system. Special focus in this contribution lies on the user-centered design process for the elderly.
