Abstract

Initial Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) data sets of flashing bubble growth of a jet slice and jet tip configuration. Cases and results can also be found in:D. Dietzel, "Modeling and simulation of flash-boiling of cryogenic liquids", PhD Thesis, University of Stuttgart, 2020. doi: 10.18419/opus-10974D. Dietzel, T. Hitz, C.-D. Munz, and A. Kronenburg, “Numerical simulation of the growth and interaction of vapour bubbles in superheated liquid jets,” International Journal of Multiphase Flow, vol. 121 (2019), article 103112.The solver FS3D.comp (FLEXI) is provided with this data set. Relevant git commits used to obtain the published results can be looked up in the PhD thesis, Appendix G (doi: 10.18419/opus-10974).The data set is build up as follows:bubble_columnInvestigated test cases of a bubble column for a superheat ratio of 5, an ambient temperature of 120 Kelvin and an R0 Star of 50. The cases also contain postprocessing scripts in octave. ILASS17FlexiGit versioned source code of the simulation tool FS3D.comp (FLEXI). Versions used for publications can be looked up up in the PhD thesis, Appendix G (doi: 10.18419/opus-10974) jet_sliceSame conditions as for the bubble column, but now the test case consists of a jet slice with only one cyclic boundary condition.jet_tipSame conditions as for the bubble column, but now the test case consists of a jet tip to have three open directions for expansion of the jet.postproPostprocessing scripts with octave
