Isoelectronic radical ions from single electron transfer reactions: Direct detection of stable, solvent-separated radical anion/radical cation pairs

. Angewandte Chemie, 96 (8): 609--610 (1984)

Abstract

Single-electron-transfer reactions of dihydropyrazines I (R = Me, Et, Me2CH; R3Si = SiMe2CMe3) with acceptors TCNE and TCNQ gave radical cations II (X = TCNE, TCNQ). Similarly, pyrazine and NaAlHEt3 gave radical anion III. [on SciFinder(R)]
