In simulations of salt dissolving in water, viscous fingers emerge. Comparing a number of simulation runs with different parameters allows domain scientists to gain insight into this dissolution process. Researchers have developed a tool that allows interactive visual analysis of ensembles of such simulations at different levels of detail in an adaptable user interface.
