Abstract
Static and dynamic eccentricity between the radial lip seal and the rotating shaft are the result of imprecise production and assembly. In this work, the influence of static and dynamic eccentricity on the pumping rate are analysed experimentally. The experimental analyses were performed with radial lip seals made of nitrile rubber (NBR) and fluoro rubber (FKM) in combination with mineral and synthetic (polyglycol and polyalphaolefin) oils.
