Abstract

Adaptive mesh refinement for the solution of nonlinear magnetostatic field problems is used to improve the ratio between computational costs and accuracy. Although various local refinement indicators can be used to rate the local mesh density, often only a few of them are considered in combination. Since an increased number of indicators allows for better control of mesh refinement, an expert system based on fuzzy logic has been developed. it was used with the integral equation method and the field problem setup of TEAM Workshop Problem 20
