adaptive finite element methods basic design principles of adaptive
finite element software. We introduce finite element spaces, discuss
local refinement of simplical grids, the assemblage and structure
of the discrete linear system, the computation of the error estimator,
and common adaptive strategies. The mathematical discussion naturally
leads to appropriate data structures and efficient algorithms for
the implementation. The theoretical part is complemented by exercises
giving an introduction to the implementation of solvers for linear

fully covered with a stagnant layer of surfactant in an arbitrary
unsteady Stokes flow for the low surface P\'eclet number limit. The
effect of the interfacial slip coefficient on the behavior of the
flow field is also considered. The hydrodynamic problem is solved
by the solenoidal decomposition method and the drag force is computed
in terms of Faxen's laws using a perturbation ansatz in powers of
the surface P\'eclet number. The analytical expressions for the migration
velocity of the drop are also obtained in powers of the surface P\'eclet
number. Further instances corresponding to a given ambient flow as
uniform flow, Couette flow, Poiseuille flow are analyzed. Moreover,
it is observed that, a surfactant-induced cross-stream migration
of the drop occur towards the centre-line in both Couette flow and
Poiseuille flow cases. The variation of the drag force and migration
velocity is computed for different parameters such as P\'eclet number,

effcient aposteriori error estimators for reduced parameterized nonlinear
kernel-based systems. The dynamical systems under consideration consist
of a nonlinear, time- and parameter-dependent kernel expansion representing
the system's inner dynamics as well as time- and parameter-affne
inputs, initial conditions and outputs. The estimators are established
for a reduction technique originally proposed in [7] and are an extension
of the estimators derived in [11] to the fully time-dependent, parameterized
setting. Key features for the effcient error estimation are to use
local Lipschitz constants provided by a certain class of kernels
and an iterative scheme to balance computation cost against estimation
sharpness. Together with the affnely time/parameter-dependent system
components a full offine/online decomposition for both the reduction
process and the error estimators is possible. Some experimental results
for synthetic systems illustrate the effcient evaluation of the derived

are gaining popularity, whereas the classical stochastic Galerkin
approach is not ensured to preserve hyperbolicity of the underlying
hyperbolic system. We present a modification of this method that
uses a slope limiter to retain admissible solutions of the system,
while providing high-order approximations in the physical and stochastic
space. This is done using spatial discontinuous Galerkin and a Multi-Element
stochastic Galerkin ansatz in the random space. We analyze the convergence
of the resulting scheme and apply it to the compressible Euler equations
with different uncertain initial states. The numerical results underline
the strength of our method if discontinuities are present in the
