Wesentliche innovative Konstruktionsweisen wie die GFK/GFB-Außenhülle, die 3D-Innenausbauten und die extrem großformatigen Glas-Elementfassaden wurden von Werner Sobek Stuttgart speziell für dieses Projekt entwickelt, ausgeschrieben und bei Produktion und Einbau überwacht. Der Beitrag zeigt die sehr hohen Anforderungen und die verschiedenen ingenieurtechnischen Lösungsansätze für Planung und Realisierung. The building envelope of Heydar Aliyev Cultural Centre in Baku, Azerbaijan. The design of the new national cultural center of Azerbaijan is characterized by the freeform architecture of Zaha Hadid. Significant innovative construction methods as the GRP / GRC-outer shell, the 3D interior fit-out and the extremely large size glass-curtain wall units were developed by Werner Sobek Stuttgart specifically for this project and were advertised and monitored during production and installation. The article shows the very high standards and the different engineering approaches to planning and implementation.",

In terms of geometric complexity, the National Museum of Qatar (Atelier Jean Nouvel, Paris, France) is a real milestone in 3D engineering and BIM full-detail modelling and design. Durch die Unterteilung in kleine, einzeln ansteuerbare Bereiche, die individuell verdunkelt werden können, ergibt sich weltweit erstmals die Möglichkeit, die Blendschutzfunktion von der Helligkeitsregelung des Raumes zu entkoppeln. Dies ermöglicht insbesondere in der Heizperiode, wenn Solarstrahlungsgewinne durch die Fassade erwünscht sind, die Möglichkeit der Nutzung dieser Gewinne bei gleichzeitiger Gewährleistung der Blendfreiheit für den Nutzer. Nachfolgend vorgestellt werden das Strukturierungskonzept, der Aufbau der Verglasungen sowie die Messkampagne während des Betriebs der Verglasungen im Fassadentestgebäude des ILEK.",

Der alte Kopfbahnhof wird hierbei durch einen unterirdischen Durchgangsbahnhof ersetzt. Wesentliches Gestaltungselement der neuen Bahnsteighalle sind die sogenannten Kelchstützen. Diese tragen nicht nur das Schalendach, sondern dienen auch der natürlichen Belichtung und Belüftung des Innenraums. Der vorliegende Beitrag beschreibt Formfindung und Berechnung dieser einzigartigen Geometrien und erläutert, wie durch die Tragwerksplanung eine technisch und ökonomisch nachhaltige Umsetzung ermöglicht wurde.",
