         "pages": "1--6","abstract": "Open-switch faults in voltage source inverters significantly affect the operation of permanent-magnet synchronous machines, especially when multiple switch faults occur simultaneously. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the remaining feasible voltages under different combinations of double open-switch faults. Based on this analysis, a fault-tolerant control strategy is discussed that aims to minimize torque ripple and prevent overcurrents. The presented visualization of remaining feasible voltages along with the approach for fault-tolerant control allow for a classification of fault combinations according to their impact on control performance and machine behavior, including the identification of a worst-case combination of double open-switch faults. Experimental results obtained on a laboratory test bench validate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy and confirm the identified worst-case fault combination.",

         "pages": "112430","abstract": "Measurement of hip external rotation strength (ERS) is important for preventive and rehabilitative purposes. ERS can be measured in 3 different positions in the isokinetic dynamometer ISOMED2000. However, it is not clear whether these measurement positions effect ERS nor if these positions are reliable in the ISOMED2000. Hence, the purpose of this study was to compare ERS in these positions, the reliability and the agreement. A cross-sectional design was conducted to compare measurement positions and a test\u2013retest design to assess intra-rater reliability and agreement. Twenty-four healthy, physically active athletes participated in the study. Peak isometric torque was measured in the ISOMED in prone, supine, and side-lying position across two sessions on one day. Differences between positions were evaluated with the Wilcoxon-signed-rank test and cliff\u2019s delta. Reliability was assessed via intraclass correlation. Agreement was determined using the standard error of measurement (SEM), minimal detectable change (MDC), and Bland-Altman analysis (BAA). Results indicated a significant influence of measurement position on ERS (p\u202F<\u202F0.001) with high effect sizes (>0.74). Reliability and agreement were high in all positions, but highest for the side-lying position (ICC = 0.90 [0.78, 0.96]; SEM = 0.08; MDC = 0.23; BAA_bias\u202F=\u202F3.4\u202F%, BAA_loA = 37\u202F%). There were only poor to moderate correlations between measurement positions. These findings suggest that measurement position significantly affects ERS. Furthermore, the effect varies across individuals indicating that normative values cannot be used interchangeably or be adapted across positions. In diagnostic testing ERS should be measured in the same position, but preferably in the side-lying position.",

This comparison is not only used to express that the resource data are just as important for the fourth industrial revolution as oil was for the technological revolution in the late 19th century. There are also further similarities between these two valuable resources in terms of their handling. Both must first be discovered and extracted from their sources. Then, the raw materials must be cleaned, preprocessed, and stored before they can finally be delivered to consumers. Despite these undeniable similarities, however, there are significant differences between oil and data in all of these processing steps, making data a resource that is considerably more challenging to handle. For instance, data sources, as well as the data themselves, are heterogeneous, which means there is no one-size-fits-all data acquisition solution. Furthermore, data can be distorted by the source or by third parties without being noticed, which affects both quality and usability. Unlike oil, there is also no uniform refinement process for data, as data preparation should be tailored to the subsequent consumers and their intended use cases. With regard to storage, it has to be taken into account that data are not consumed when they are processed or delivered to consumers, which means that the data volume that has to be managed is constantly growing. Finally, data may be subject to special constraints in terms of distribution, which may entail individual delivery plans depending on the customer and their intended purposes. Overall, it can be concluded that innovative approaches are needed for handling the resource data that address these inherent challenges. In this paper, we therefore study and discuss the relevant characteristics of data making them such a challenging resource to handle. In order to enable appropriate data provisioning, we introduce a holistic research concept from data source to data sink that respects the processing requirements of data producers as well as the quality requirements of data consumers and, moreover, ensures a trustworthy data administration.",

This paper focuses on a downhill driving scenario of a vehicle experiencing an open-switch fault in a converter. Measurement results show that the proposed fault-tolerant control allows the vehicle to finish the drive safely despite the fault, validating the applicability of the control strategy for vehicle applications.",
