The subject of the presented work is the optimization of grid structures over some predefined free form shape, with the goal of generating
a stable and statically efficient structure. It is shown how combining design and FEM software in an iterative, Genetic Algorithms based, optimization process, stress and displacements in grid shell structures can be significantly reduced, whereby material can be saved and stability enhanced.
Within this research, design and static analysis software are combined in order to perform a statical optimization of grid shells,generated over a given free form surface. A plug-in for Rhinoceros 3D (software based on NURBS [44] geometry representation) is developed, that uses Genetic Algorithms as an optimization method and implements automated iterative calls to Oasys GSA (commercial FEM static analysis software) in order to generate a statically optimal grid shell. To make this possible, within this research some new types of automatic grid generation are developed. Voronoi
diagrams [11] were used together with the adapted Force-Density method [38] to develop a new type of grid structure that we called Voronax. In the presented work it was shown that, using the same free form surface, and using the same number of joints and structural members, we can generate much more efficient grid shells,
when compared to the standard (uniform) grid structures, simply by modifying the structural grid, i.e., rearranging the structural members of the grid shell.
The work presented offers an explanation of the entire method and how it can be constructed. The results of the experiments are there to prove its efficiency and credibility. Once it is proved that the method works, its application can take various forms and be left to the creativity of the user and the requirements of the

Heutige Fertigteilbauweisen sehen die Verbindung der Bauteile über Verguss vor, die
zu einem monolithischen Baukörper führen. Eine Nachnutzung ist am wirtschaftlichsten durch die Wiederverwertung zerkleinerten Abbruchmaterials möglich. Ein Weg, die Nachhaltigkeit von Betonfertigteilbauweisen zu steigern, besteht in der trockenen Fügung von Elementen, um diese nach einem abgeschlossenen Nutzungszyklus unbeschädigt zu trennen und der Wiederverwendung auf Bauteilebene zuführen zu können.
Die notwendige Infrastruktur für diesen Nutzungsweg wurde in den letzten Jahren aus
Anlass des Rückbaus von Plattenbausiedlungen erforscht und aufgebaut.
Die Verbindung der Elemente erfolgt mit Hilfe eines Stecksystems, das im Zuge der
Montage sowohl eine kraftschlüssige Verbindung der Elemente als auch die Übertragung von Medien (Wasser, Strom) über die Fuge ermöglicht. Im Rahmen eines durch das BMBF geförderten Forschungsprojekts wurde das bestehende System für den Einsatz als statisch wirksames Verbindungsmittel untersucht und in dieser Arbeit weiterentwickelt.
Dies geschah insbesondere unter Berücksichtigung der im Betonbau auftretenden Toleranzen. Um die im Rückbau gewonnenen Elemente in gleichwertiger Nutzung wiederverwenden zu können, müssen diese einen fortschrittlichen energetischen Standard erfüllen.
Die Arbeit befasst sich im ersten Teil mit aerogelhaltigen Leichtbeton, welcher aufgrund seiner extrem niedrigen Wärmeleitfähigkeit einschalige Außenwände ohne zusätzliche Dämmung ermöglicht. Dieses Vorgehen beinhaltet ein großes Vereinfachungspotential in der Planungs- und Fertigungsphase, und gewährleistet ausreichend Bauraum für die Integration der Leitungsführung im Element. Die erforderliche Steigerung der Festigkeitseigenschaften des Werkstoffs erfolgt durch eine Gefügeoptimierung auf der Grundlage des ultrahochfesten Betons. Um die besonderen Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten dieses neuen Materials mit herkömmlichem Leichtbeton zu verdeutlichen, erfolgt eine gegenüberstellende Betrachtung der Werkstoffgrundlagen beider Materialien.
Für die Ausbildung einer trockenen und demontierbaren Fuge zwischen den Elementen wird ausgehend vom Stand der Technik ein konstruktiver und lösbarer Fugenaufbau vorgeschlagen, der modular und montagegerecht konzipiert ist. Es werden Empfehlungen ausgesprochen, um die Elemente nach statischen und montagetechnischen Gesichtspunkten optimiert zu fügen.
Durch experimentelle Belastungstests wurde die Tragfähigkeit und Steifigkeit des Verbindungssystems Munitec ermittelt, um dessen Anwendbarkeit als statisch wirksames Verbindungsmittel zu beurteilen. Anhand der Finite-Elemente Simulation eines Beispielgebäudes wird der Vergleich zwischen der herkömmlichen Bauweise mit Fugenverguss und einer Bauweise mit punktuell eingesetzten Verbindungsmitteln gezogen. Das untersuchte Verbindungssystem Munitec leistet nur in Kombination mit Verguss die erforderliche statische Wirksamkeit. Auf Basis der durchgeführten Untersuchungen erfolgt eine Neuentwicklung des Systems unter der Vorgabe des sofortigen Kraftschlusses und der reversiblen Einsatzmöglichkeit. Die FE-Simulation bestätigt die Funktionsweise dieses Konzepts und liefert Parameter für die Dimensionierung des Systems. Dabei können einerseits die Werkstoffeigenschaften gezielt optimiert werden, andererseits ist es möglich, mehrere Komponenten in einem Element zu vereinigen. Der umgebende Faserverbundwerkstoff schützt die strukturintegrierte Funktionalität, was zu robusten Systemen führt. Für architektonische Anwendungen sind die Integration von wärmespeichernden Materialien, der Einbau von Sensoren sowie die aktive mechanische Steuerbarkeit von Bauteilen von maßgeblicher Relevanz.Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit wird die Einbettung faseroptischer Sensoren in Verbundwerkstoffe
eingehender untersucht. Dabei werden optische Fasern mit integrierten Reflexionsgittern (Bragg‐Gitter) verwendet ‐ die bei der Lichtleitung reflektierte Wellenlänge lässt einen Rückschluss auf Dehnung und Temperatur in der Sensorfaser zu. Durch die Strukturintegration werden die Dehnung der optischen Faser und damit der resultierende Messwert von der Beschichtung der Sensorfaser sowie dem lokalen Laminatgefüge und von Fehlstellen beeinflusst. Eine mikromechanische Analyse zeigt, dass der dreidimensionale Dehnungszustand in der Sensorfaser nicht dem Dehnungszustand im umgebenden Faserverbundwerkstoff entspricht.
Temperaturdifferenzen und Dehnungen längs der Orientierung der Sensorfaser werden zwar affin in diese übertragen und können daher zuverlässig gemessen werden. Dehnungen senkrecht zur optischen Faser werden von dieser jedoch weniger stark wahrgenommen und deren Einfluss auf das Messergebnis variiert außerdem
erheblich, in Abhängigkeit des Laminataufbaus und der Faserbeschichtung. Praktische Versuche bestätigen umfänglich die rechnerischen Vorhersagen und zeigen grundsätzlich eine gute Leistungsfähigkeit strukturintegrierter faseroptischer Sensoren.
Die Untersuchungen bilden die Grundlage für die Entwicklung großformatiger Faserverbundbauteile mit automatisiert integrierten Sensorfasern. Die planmäßige Ermittlung von Querdehnungen ist bei strukturintegrierten Fasersensoren nicht zuverlässig möglich, weshalb deren Entkopplung erstrebenswert ist. Es hat sich als zielführend erwiesen, eine möglichst weiche Schutzschicht für die Sensorfaser einzusetzen, um die Effekte aus Querdehnung zu minimieren.
Da die Messergebnisse von der Orientierung der optischen Faser und den mechanischen Kennwerten des Laminats abhängen, ist eine präzise Vorhersage der Korrelation zwischen Einwirkung und Messsignal schwierig.
Daher wird ein künstliches neuronales Netz zur Auswertung der Daten entwickelt, welches die beschriebenen Streuungen ausgleichen kann. Eine exemplarische Untersuchung beweist die Leistungsfähigkeit neuronaler Netze für die Auswertung strukturintegrierter Sensornetzwerke. Damit wird es auch möglich, neben der quantitativen Dehnungsermittlung auch qualitative Einwirkungsszenarien zu beschreiben und zu detektieren.

The subject of the presented work is the optimization of grid structures over some predefined free form shape, with the goal of generating
a stable and statically efficient structure. It is shown how combining design and FEM software in an iterative, Genetic Algorithms based, optimization process, stress and displacements in grid shell structures can be significantly reduced, whereby material can be saved and stability enhanced.
Within this research, design and static analysis software are combined in order to perform a statical optimization of grid shells,generated over a given free form surface. A plug-in for Rhinoceros 3D (software based on NURBS [44] geometry representation) is developed, that uses Genetic Algorithms as an optimization method and implements automated iterative calls to Oasys GSA (commercial FEM static analysis software) in order to generate a statically optimal grid shell. To make this possible, within this research some new types of automatic grid generation are developed. Voronoi
diagrams [11] were used together with the adapted Force-Density method [38] to develop a new type of grid structure that we called Voronax. In the presented work it was shown that, using the same free form surface, and using the same number of joints and structural members, we can generate much more efficient grid shells,
when compared to the standard (uniform) grid structures, simply by modifying the structural grid, i.e., rearranging the structural members of the grid shell.
The work presented offers an explanation of the entire method and how it can be constructed. The results of the experiments are there to prove its efficiency and credibility. Once it is proved that the method works, its application can take various forms and be left to the creativity of the user and the requirements of the

Heutige Fertigteilbauweisen sehen die Verbindung der Bauteile über Verguss vor, die
zu einem monolithischen Baukörper führen. Eine Nachnutzung ist am wirtschaftlichsten durch die Wiederverwertung zerkleinerten Abbruchmaterials möglich. Ein Weg, die Nachhaltigkeit von Betonfertigteilbauweisen zu steigern, besteht in der trockenen Fügung von Elementen, um diese nach einem abgeschlossenen Nutzungszyklus unbeschädigt zu trennen und der Wiederverwendung auf Bauteilebene zuführen zu können.
Die notwendige Infrastruktur für diesen Nutzungsweg wurde in den letzten Jahren aus
Anlass des Rückbaus von Plattenbausiedlungen erforscht und aufgebaut.
Die Verbindung der Elemente erfolgt mit Hilfe eines Stecksystems, das im Zuge der
Montage sowohl eine kraftschlüssige Verbindung der Elemente als auch die Übertragung von Medien (Wasser, Strom) über die Fuge ermöglicht. Im Rahmen eines durch das BMBF geförderten Forschungsprojekts wurde das bestehende System für den Einsatz als statisch wirksames Verbindungsmittel untersucht und in dieser Arbeit weiterentwickelt.
Dies geschah insbesondere unter Berücksichtigung der im Betonbau auftretenden Toleranzen. Um die im Rückbau gewonnenen Elemente in gleichwertiger Nutzung wiederverwenden zu können, müssen diese einen fortschrittlichen energetischen Standard erfüllen.
Die Arbeit befasst sich im ersten Teil mit aerogelhaltigen Leichtbeton, welcher aufgrund seiner extrem niedrigen Wärmeleitfähigkeit einschalige Außenwände ohne zusätzliche Dämmung ermöglicht. Dieses Vorgehen beinhaltet ein großes Vereinfachungspotential in der Planungs- und Fertigungsphase, und gewährleistet ausreichend Bauraum für die Integration der Leitungsführung im Element. Die erforderliche Steigerung der Festigkeitseigenschaften des Werkstoffs erfolgt durch eine Gefügeoptimierung auf der Grundlage des ultrahochfesten Betons. Um die besonderen Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten dieses neuen Materials mit herkömmlichem Leichtbeton zu verdeutlichen, erfolgt eine gegenüberstellende Betrachtung der Werkstoffgrundlagen beider Materialien.
Für die Ausbildung einer trockenen und demontierbaren Fuge zwischen den Elementen wird ausgehend vom Stand der Technik ein konstruktiver und lösbarer Fugenaufbau vorgeschlagen, der modular und montagegerecht konzipiert ist. Es werden Empfehlungen ausgesprochen, um die Elemente nach statischen und montagetechnischen Gesichtspunkten optimiert zu fügen.
Durch experimentelle Belastungstests wurde die Tragfähigkeit und Steifigkeit des Verbindungssystems Munitec ermittelt, um dessen Anwendbarkeit als statisch wirksames Verbindungsmittel zu beurteilen. Anhand der Finite-Elemente Simulation eines Beispielgebäudes wird der Vergleich zwischen der herkömmlichen Bauweise mit Fugenverguss und einer Bauweise mit punktuell eingesetzten Verbindungsmitteln gezogen. Das untersuchte Verbindungssystem Munitec leistet nur in Kombination mit Verguss die erforderliche statische Wirksamkeit. Auf Basis der durchgeführten Untersuchungen erfolgt eine Neuentwicklung des Systems unter der Vorgabe des sofortigen Kraftschlusses und der reversiblen Einsatzmöglichkeit. Die FE-Simulation bestätigt die Funktionsweise dieses Konzepts und liefert Parameter für die Dimensionierung des Systems. Dabei können einerseits die Werkstoffeigenschaften gezielt optimiert werden, andererseits ist es möglich, mehrere Komponenten in einem Element zu vereinigen. Der umgebende Faserverbundwerkstoff schützt die strukturintegrierte Funktionalität, was zu robusten Systemen führt. Für architektonische Anwendungen sind die Integration von wärmespeichernden Materialien, der Einbau von Sensoren sowie die aktive mechanische Steuerbarkeit von Bauteilen von maßgeblicher Relevanz.Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit wird die Einbettung faseroptischer Sensoren in Verbundwerkstoffe
eingehender untersucht. Dabei werden optische Fasern mit integrierten Reflexionsgittern (Bragg‐Gitter) verwendet ‐ die bei der Lichtleitung reflektierte Wellenlänge lässt einen Rückschluss auf Dehnung und Temperatur in der Sensorfaser zu. Durch die Strukturintegration werden die Dehnung der optischen Faser und damit der resultierende Messwert von der Beschichtung der Sensorfaser sowie dem lokalen Laminatgefüge und von Fehlstellen beeinflusst. Eine mikromechanische Analyse zeigt, dass der dreidimensionale Dehnungszustand in der Sensorfaser nicht dem Dehnungszustand im umgebenden Faserverbundwerkstoff entspricht.
Temperaturdifferenzen und Dehnungen längs der Orientierung der Sensorfaser werden zwar affin in diese übertragen und können daher zuverlässig gemessen werden. Dehnungen senkrecht zur optischen Faser werden von dieser jedoch weniger stark wahrgenommen und deren Einfluss auf das Messergebnis variiert außerdem
erheblich, in Abhängigkeit des Laminataufbaus und der Faserbeschichtung. Praktische Versuche bestätigen umfänglich die rechnerischen Vorhersagen und zeigen grundsätzlich eine gute Leistungsfähigkeit strukturintegrierter faseroptischer Sensoren.
Die Untersuchungen bilden die Grundlage für die Entwicklung großformatiger Faserverbundbauteile mit automatisiert integrierten Sensorfasern. Die planmäßige Ermittlung von Querdehnungen ist bei strukturintegrierten Fasersensoren nicht zuverlässig möglich, weshalb deren Entkopplung erstrebenswert ist. Es hat sich als zielführend erwiesen, eine möglichst weiche Schutzschicht für die Sensorfaser einzusetzen, um die Effekte aus Querdehnung zu minimieren.
Da die Messergebnisse von der Orientierung der optischen Faser und den mechanischen Kennwerten des Laminats abhängen, ist eine präzise Vorhersage der Korrelation zwischen Einwirkung und Messsignal schwierig.
Daher wird ein künstliches neuronales Netz zur Auswertung der Daten entwickelt, welches die beschriebenen Streuungen ausgleichen kann. Eine exemplarische Untersuchung beweist die Leistungsfähigkeit neuronaler Netze für die Auswertung strukturintegrierter Sensornetzwerke. Damit wird es auch möglich, neben der quantitativen Dehnungsermittlung auch qualitative Einwirkungsszenarien zu beschreiben und zu detektieren.
