Abstract

Re(CO)3ClL (L = pyrazine-2-dimethylcarboxamide, 1-ethylpyrazinium-3-dimethylcarboxamide, 1,3-dimethyllumazine, 2,5-diacetylpyrazine, lumiflavine and riboflavin were prepd. and studied by cyclic voltammetry and spectroscopy (IR, electronic, ESR). s-Polarization and p-back-bonding by the organometallic fragment cause stabilization of the reduced (radical) form and of the first metal-to-ligand charge transfer excited state. on SciFinder(R)
