Abstract
ReS42- is the first d1 tetrathiometalate persistent enough to be studied with respect to charge transfer, ligand field and IR vibrational spectra via spectroelectrochem.; an EPR spectrum could only be detected of its trinuclear deriv. [(bpy)2Ru(m-ReS4)Ru(bpy)2]2+ (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) at 4 K. [on SciFinder(R)]
