Abstract
Treatment of (Me2N)3CC$\equiv$CC(NMe2)3 with Me3SiCN gave (Me2N)2C:C(CN)C(CN):C(NMe2)2, which reacted with Br2 and I2 to give radical-cation salts I (X = Br, I); anion exchange with NaBPh4 gave I (X = BPh4). The ENDOR spectrum and cyclic voltammogram of I (X = BPh4) were analyzed, and the hindered rotation around the C(1)-C(2), C(2)-C(3), and C(3)-C(4) bonds are discussed. on SciFinder(R)
