@inproceedings{pado04:_influence, abstract = {We present a data and error analysis for semantic role labelling. In a first experiment, we build a generic statistical model for semantic role assignment in the FrameNet paradigm and show that there is a high variance in performance across frames. The main hypothesis of our paper is that this variance is to a large extent a result of differences in the underlying argument structure of the predicates in different frames. In a second experiment, we show that frame uniformity, which measures argument structure variation, correlates well with the performance figures, effectively explaining the variance.}, added-at = {2017-04-03T19:28:28.000+0200}, address = {Barcelona, Spain}, author = {Padó, Sebastian and {Boleda Torrent}, Gemma}, biburl = {https://puma.ub.uni-stuttgart.de/bibtex/234d49a9a746fb2addeb36314a29c5547/sp}, booktitle = {Proceedings of EMNLP 2004}, interhash = {55407731460f56f304cf33395654a5a8}, intrahash = {34d49a9a746fb2addeb36314a29c5547}, keywords = {conference myown}, pages = {103--110}, timestamp = {2024-02-22T12:36:46.000+0100}, title = {The Influence of Argument Structure on Semantic Role Assignment}, url = {http://www.aclweb.org/anthology/W/W04/W04-3214.pdf}, year = 2004 }
