DFT calcns. using a large relativistic basis to account for the d10-d10 interaction reproduce the obsd. mol. structure in the crystal of this linkage isomer, including the conspicuous distortion at one of the gold atoms. The chelate complex [(dppp)PtCl2] was crystd. and structurally characterized as the dichloromethane solvate. [on SciFinder(R)]
