These advancements go along with the need for production methods that enable the production of geometrically complex sandwiches with a multitude of included functional components. This paper concerns the production of curved concrete sandwich panels using an improvement of the frozen sand formwork method. The functionality of the method is evaluated by means of two specimens of concrete sandwiches with different types of components like shear reinforcement or thermal insulation. It will be shown that thin-walled concrete sandwiches can be produced with high precision and with minimum waste throughout the production process.
