Ensuring a comprehensive supply of hygienically safe drinking water and sanitation throughout the region poses major challenges. Within the framework of the TRUST project, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), concepts for safe drinking water supply, sanitation and water reuse are being developed together with local actors and national authorities to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
